The position is hybrid in Glen Allen, Virginia.

Requirements

  • Hands-on experience with Apex classes and triggers and Lightning Web Components (LWC).
  • Strong understanding of declarative Salesforce configuration, including Flow Builder, Process Builder migration, validation rules, page layouts, and permission sets.
  • Production experience with Copado or comparable Salesforce CI/CD tooling for release management.
  • Experience writing Apex unit tests and working within a DevOps-driven defect remediation process.
  • Practical Jira experience with agile story writing, acceptance criteria, and defect tracking.
  • Strong written communication skills for technical documentation.
  • 5 years of Jira experience.
  • 8 years of Salesforce Service Cloud experience.
  • 4 years of Copado experience.
  • 8 years of Salesforce Apex Class and LWC experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Salesforce Platform Developer I or II certification.
  • Experience supporting government or public-sector Salesforce implementations.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain Flows, Apex classes and triggers, and Lightning Web Components (LWC) to extend Salesforce functionality and meet business requirements.
  • Prefer declarative solutions, including Flows, Validation Rules, and Permission Sets, before using custom code; use Apex or LWC when configuration cannot meet requirements.
  • Use Copado CI/CD to manage source control, deployments, and release pipelines across Salesforce environments.
  • Write and maintain Apex unit tests to meet organizational code-coverage requirements.
  • Collaborate with the DevOps team to debug, triage, and remediate defects.
  • Contribute to and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, deployment notes, and release documentation.
  • Use Jira to document user stories, acceptance criteria, and design changes for defect remediation and new feature development.
