About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Salesforce Marketing Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable marketing technology solutions. This role will be responsible for translating business requirements into technical architecture, ensuring best practices, and driving innovation across digital marketing initiatives.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Architect or Solution Architect in SFMC implementations.
  • Strong knowledge of AMPscript, SQL, SSJS, and data modeling.
  • Experience with integrations using REST/SOAP APIs.
  • Deep understanding of Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Contact Builder.
  • Familiarity with Salesforce core platform (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud) and data integration patterns.
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud Consultant and/or Developer certifications.
  • Experience with CDP (Customer Data Platforms) and data orchestration tools.
  • Knowledge of privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA).
  • Experience with personalization tools and advanced segmentation strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Design and architect end-to-end solutions within Salesforce Marketing Cloud (SFMC), including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Contact Builder.
  • Define data architecture, integration strategies, and customer data models to support personalized, data-driven marketing campaigns.
  • Lead the implementation of SFMC solutions, ensuring alignment with business goals and technical standards.
  • Integrate SFMC with Salesforce CRM, third-party systems, APIs, and data warehouses.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to developers, administrators, and marketing stakeholders.
  • Establish governance, security, and compliance standards for marketing data and communications.
  • Optimize campaign performance through testing, segmentation strategies, and analytics.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues related to SFMC implementations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including marketing, IT, and analytics to deliver high-impact solutions.
