About The Position

Upstate Coin & Gold is seeking an experienced Salesforce Engineer to join their team in a hybrid remote role. This position is based out of their Boulder, Colorado office, with travel to their Centennial, Colorado headquarters when needed. The role involves leading the architectural design, development, and implementation of a new Salesforce instance from the ground up. This is a foundational, architect-level role focused on building a scalable CRM ecosystem to power trading and customer operations. The ideal candidate is a builder who thrives on laying the groundwork for a growing organization, is passionate about establishing long-term best practices, possesses a "security-first" mindset, and has deep expertise in complex data orchestration, specifically using MuleSoft to bridge Salesforce with their NetSuite ERP.

Requirements

4-6 years of professional engineering experience within the Salesforce ecosystem, with a proven track record of implementing new instances from scratch.
Expert-level experience with MuleSoft Anypoint Platform for designing, building, and managing APIs and integrations.
Deep, hands-on experience integrating Salesforce with NetSuite (or similar Tier-1 ERPs).
Expert command of Apex, LWC, JavaScript, and Salesforce DX.
Deep understanding of Salesforce Shield, advanced sharing models, and encryption to protect sensitive financial and customer data.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field required.
Hands-on, end-to-end development experience, from requirements gathering to post-deployment support.
Candidates must be currently authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

Salesforce Certified Application/System Architect or MuleSoft Developer certifications are highly desirable.
Experience in regulated environments (e.g., Government Cloud, Financial Services) is highly valued.
Full-Stack Familiarity: Experience with Node.js or AWS services (Lambda, SQS) to support off-platform processing and event-driven architectures.
Domain Expertise: Previous experience in Financial Services, FinTech, or Commodities (understanding of ledger logic, physical asset tracking, or tax compliance).
AI Augmentation: Experience utilizing Salesforce Einstein or LLM-based development tools (e.g., Cursor, Copilot) to accelerate delivery velocity.
Agile Management: Experience leading technical sprints and managing complex backlogs in a fast-paced environment.
Modern Innovation: Experience with Agentforce, Salesforce Einstein, or leveraging LLM-based development tools to accelerate delivery.
Reusable Architecture: Proven ability to build modular, scalable components for long-term platform maintenance.

Responsibilities

Own the full lifecycle of a new Salesforce instance implementation, from initial discovery and schema design to deployment and post-launch optimization.
Architect and maintain sophisticated, real-time integrations between Salesforce and NetSuite using MuleSoft (Anypoint Platform) to ensure seamless data flow across our financial ecosystem.
Develop high-quality, scalable code using Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and Flow, adhering to industry best practices (CI/CD via Salesforce DX, TDD, and clean code).
Establish rigorous data governance policies to ensure "golden record" accuracy between CRM and ERP systems, prioritizing transactional integrity for commodity trading.
Collaborate with stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into technical solutions, providing mentorship to junior team members and driving technical accountability.
Perform hands-on administrative Salesforce tasks, including user management, permission sets, profile configuration, and daily platform health monitoring.
