About The Position

NYCERS IT Custom Solutions unit is seeking an experienced Salesforce Developer. Under general direction, the successful candidate will design, develop, test, and deploy custom and non-custom Salesforce solutions following SDLC standards. The role requires strong communication and client relations skills, the ability to clarify and simplify business requirements, and the ability to carry solutions to the next level. It demands a high degree of independent judgment and technical expertise. Java experience is a plus.

Requirements

A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college in computer science, information systems, engineering, mathematics, or a related field and six years of satisfactory full-time experience related to enterprise architecture, solutions architecture, network architecture, and/or IT infrastructure systems; or a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and ten years of satisfactory full-time experience in those areas; or equivalent education and/or experience.
Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills, with the ability to tailor solutions to customer needs.
Ability to work well under pressure.
Outstanding written, presentation, and verbal communication skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills to interact effectively with internal and external contacts.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather and analyze requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
Customize and configure Salesforce applications to meet business needs, including creating custom objects, fields, workflows, and validation rules.
Develop and maintain integrations between Salesforce and other systems using APIs and middleware.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Salesforce applications to ensure optimal performance and user experience.
Create and maintain technical documentation, including design specifications, operations turnover documents or runbooks, code comments, and user guides.
Stay up to date with Salesforce releases, features, and best practices, and implement improvements as necessary.
Participate in code reviews and follow best practices for coding, testing, and deployment.
Work with other developers and administrators across solution components leveraging Service Cloud, Community Cloud, and Marketing Cloud/Social Studio.
Provide internal training to teammates and business users.
Envision solutions and understand process steps from start to finish.
Work independently and in a team-based environment.
