About The Position

Nordstrom is hiring Sales employees for Women's Apparel, Kidswear, Accessories, Lingerie, and Shoes at its Woodfield Shopping Center location in Schaumburg, Illinois. Candidates may attend the hiring event on Thursday, October 29, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.; no advance scheduling is needed. Interviews take approximately one hour, and on-the-spot offers will be made for most roles. Applicants may bring a resume, but it is not required. Applications are also accepted on an ongoing basis, and applicants unable to attend the event may still be considered. Sales employees may earn commission based on merchandise sold; apparel, shoes, and accessories commissions typically range from 3% to 14.5%. Pay offers depend on location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The stated Sales pay range is $16.85 per hour. The position involves continuous movement during shifts, frequent handling of merchandise, and assisting customers. Physical requirements include frequent bending, twisting, squatting, flexing, reaching, and hand use for grasping, fine manipulation, pushing, and pulling. Employees may handle bulky or awkward items, including reaching and lifting above the head. Employees regularly lift up to 10 pounds and occasionally up to 25 pounds. The additional requirement to frequently lift and carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally up to 50 pounds is specified for Stock/Logistics only.
