About The Position
The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board is hiring a full-time Sales Team Lead (Liquor Store Clerk 2) for its Fine Wine & Good Spirits store on North American Street in Philadelphia. The position guides clerks and supports daily store functions, with an emphasis on customer service, store organization, sales, and inventory tasks. The role is onsite and does not offer telework. Work hours vary and total 75 hours biweekly. Secure onsite parking is available.
Requirements
- At least six months as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk, or six months of retail sales work.
- Meet the Pennsylvania residency requirement.
- Be able to perform the essential job functions.
- Pass a background investigation.
- An applicant with a felony conviction within the ten years preceding the prospective employment date is not permitted to work for the PLCB; other criminal convictions are reviewed case by case.
- Provide relevant, detailed experience and education information on the application; resumes, cover letters, and similar documents will not be considered for eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Guide a shift and ensure daily store operations run smoothly.
- Assist shoppers and help create a positive store experience.
- Unload shipments, stock shelves, and build product displays.
- Coach less experienced clerks on proper procedures and policies.
- Support cash management and complete shift reports.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe store environment.
