About The Position
The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board is hiring a full-time Sales Team Lead (Liquor Store Clerk 2) for its Fine Wine & Good Spirits store in Brookhaven. The role leads a shift and supports smooth store operations while working with staff and customers. It involves guiding clerks, assisting with transactions, and maintaining an organized sales floor. The position is onsite and does not offer telework. Work hours vary and total 75 hours biweekly. Secure onsite parking is available.
Requirements
- Six months as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk, or an equivalent Federal Government job title as determined by the Office of Administration; alternatively, six months of retail sales work.
- Meet the Pennsylvania residency requirement.
- Be able to perform the essential job functions.
- Pass a background investigation. A felony conviction within the last ten years before the prospective employment date disqualifies an applicant from working for the PLCB; other criminal convictions are reviewed case by case.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate shift activities and give direction to clerks.
- Assist shoppers and promote a positive store experience.
- Manage sales transactions, stock shelves, and maintain displays.
- Provide guidance and training to less experienced clerks.
- Complete shift reports and support accounting and inventory needs.
- Handle products safely and follow store and legal guidelines.
