About The Position
The Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (PLCB) is hiring a full-time Sales Team Lead (Liquor Store Clerk 2) for its Fine Wine & Good Spirits store in Lewistown. This customer-focused retail position supports daily store operations by leading and working alongside clerks to maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment. The role includes helping customers, handling sales, stocking and displaying products, training and supporting staff, and completing shift reports. The position is onsite and does not offer telework. Work hours vary and total 75 hours biweekly. The role includes free secure onsite parking. Applicants must have six months of experience as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk, or six months of retail sales work. Applicants must meet Pennsylvania residency requirements, be able to perform essential job functions, and pass a background investigation. A felony conviction within the ten years preceding the prospective employment date disqualifies an applicant from working for the PLCB; other criminal convictions are reviewed individually.
Requirements
- At least six months as a Liquor Store Clerk 1 or Intermittent Liquor Store Clerk, or six months of retail sales work.
- Meet Pennsylvania residency requirements.
- Be able to perform the essential job functions.
- Pass a background investigation.
- A felony conviction within the ten years preceding the prospective employment date is disqualifying under the Pennsylvania Liquor Code.
Responsibilities
- Guide store clerks performing tasks during assigned shifts to help ensure smooth operations.
- Assist customers by resolving product-related concerns and answering questions.
- Ring sales through the register.
- Unload shipments and stock shelves.
- Assemble product displays and help keep the store clean and organized.
- Train and support other clerks to ensure store procedures and policies are followed.
- Complete shift reports for accounting and inventory management.
- Address cash management issues.
