About The Position

First Citizens Bank is hiring a Sales Support Specialist (Commercial Lending Assistant) to partner with Commercial and/or Business Banking groups in the sales, servicing, and management of clients and loan portfolios. The role supports lenders and customers through sales coordination, loan documentation, credit servicing, past-due monitoring, and office support.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree; or high school diploma or GED/equivalent and four years of experience in sales, customer service, or operations.
• Sales support skills.
• Commercial loan knowledge.
• Written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail.
• Process-oriented approach.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in commercial loan documentation, commercial lending support, or another banking position.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other office support systems and programs.
• Experience in paralegal support.

Responsibilities

• Provide ongoing sales support to lenders, including identifying sales and cross-sell opportunities, coordinating presentation materials, arranging sales calls, maintaining prospect lists, and making joint calls as required.
• Originate and process loan documentation for closings, ensure its accuracy, enter financial information into the loan system, and verify that loan packages contain all necessary documentation before closing.
• Resolve documentation exceptions, maintain service levels, update financial statements, prepare files for portfolio reviews, and run reports tracking maturing lines and loans and service levels.
• Communicate, report, and follow up on portfolio past dues to help keep credits current while maintaining customer contact.
• Coordinate the opening of deposit and other banking services with branch partners, handle customer information requests, and assist with problem resolution.
