About The Position
First Citizens Bank is hiring a Sales Support Specialist (Business/Commercial Lending Assistant) to partner with Commercial and/or Business Banking groups in the sales, servicing, and management of clients and loan portfolios. This is an in-branch position and is not remote. The role supports lenders with sales activities, loan documentation and closing accuracy, credit servicing, portfolio monitoring, and customer and office support. The position also coordinates deposit and other banking services with branch partners and responds to customer requests and problems.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, or a high school diploma or GED with at least 4 years of experience in sales, customer service, operations, or commercial lending.
Nice To Haves
- Experience in commercial loan documentation or commercial lending support.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and other office support systems and programs.
- Experience in paralegal support.
- Experience in a business, commercial, or corporate banking environment is strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide ongoing sales support to lenders by identifying sales and cross-sell opportunities, coordinating presentation materials, arranging sales calls, maintaining prospect lists, and making joint calls as required.
- Originate, process, and verify loan documentation for closings; enter financial information into the loan system and ensure loan packages contain the required documentation before closing.
- Resolve documentation exceptions, maintain service levels, update financial statements, prepare files for portfolio reviews, and run reports tracking maturing lines and loans and service levels.
- Communicate, report, and follow up on past-due credits to help keep them current while maintaining customer contact.
- Coordinate opening deposit and other banking services with branch partners; handle customer information requests and problem resolution.
