About The Position

As a Sales Support Specialist at DeepL, you'll be the first line of support for our global sales organisation — over 250 Account Executives, Sales Development Representatives and Customer Success Managers. Over 200,000 business customers and millions of individuals across 228 global markets today trust DeepL's Language AI platform for human-like translation, improved writing and real-time voice translation. Founded in 2017 by CEO Jaroslaw “Jarek” Kutylowski, DeepL now has around 1,000 passionate employees and is supported by world-renowned investors including Benchmark, IVP, and Index Ventures. Our goal is to become the global leader in trusted, intelligent AI technology, building products that drive better communication, foster connections, and create a meaningful impact. To achieve this, we need talented people like you to join our journey. If you’re ready to shape the future of AI and grow your career in a fast-moving, purpose-driven environment, DeepL is your next destination.

Requirements

  • 2-4 years experience in sales support, sales operations, revenue operations or CRM administration.
  • Working knowledge of Salesforce, or a comparable CRM, and a good feel for how a sales process runs
  • A genuine service mindset with clear boundaries: you'll help a seller solve their problem and show them how to do it themselves.
  • Ownership. When something lands with you, you drive it to a resolution
  • Comfortable working conversationally in Slack, holding several threads at once, and staying calm when the queue is long
  • Strong attention to detail, particularly where data accuracy affects revenue
  • Excellent written and verbal English, and able to explain a process to someone who just wants their deal to close
  • Based in Austin Texas, able to work from our Austin office around two days a week, and willing to work extended hours at quarter-end and year-end

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to billing systems (ChargeBee, Zuora or similar) and how they connect to a CRM.

Responsibilities

  • Own the Sales Operations support channel in Slack, answering questions from sales teams and keeping the queue moving
  • Take each request end to end — diagnose it, fix what you can, and pull in the right people from Operations, Salesforce Administration or Finance when you can't
  • Help sellers navigate Salesforce: opportunities, quotes, accounts and the sales process
  • Investigate and correct data quality issues before they hold up a deal
  • Build simple documentation and guides so sellers can help themselves next time
  • Flag recurring issues to the team so we can fix root causes rather than the same symptom twice
  • Provide extended support at quarter-end and year-end, when deal volume peaks. On the final day of the quarter as we work to the signing cut-off — your first will be year-end, 31 December

Benefits

  • Diverse and internationally distributed team
  • Open communication, regular feedback
  • Hybrid work, flexible hours
  • Regular in-person team events
  • Monthly full-day hacking sessions
  • 30 days of annual leave
  • Competitive benefits
