About The Position

The Sales Support Associate supports the sales team, focusing on credits, deductions, and account reconciliation. Under the general supervision of the Business Development Manager, the role provides accounting and clerical support to help maintain positive customer relationships through the efficient and accurate resolution of deduction-related issues. The position is based at the Scotts Valley headquarters in Scotts Valley, California, and pays $20.00–$24.00 per hour.

Requirements

At least 2 years of experience in accounting support, accounts receivable, or credit/collections support.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Proficiency in ERP systems.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Nice To Haves

Experience working with large retailers or key accounts.
Associate degree in Business Administration.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office Dynamics NAV.

Responsibilities

Review and process customer credit requests and deductions accurately and promptly.
Work with Key Account Managers and the sales team to gather supporting documentation and validate deductions.
Investigate and resolve short-pays, chargebacks, pricing discrepancies, and freight claims.
Collaborate with the Accounting Department to ensure credits are processed accurately and on time.
Maintain organized records of credit and deduction activities for audit and reporting purposes.
Assist with accounts receivable activities, including customer account reconciliation and follow-up on outstanding items.
Analyze customer deduction trends and assist in developing preventative strategies.
Support month-end close tasks related to deductions and accounts receivable.
Provide general administrative and clerical support to the accounting team as needed.
Perform other tasks assigned by Threshold management.
