About The Position

Responsible for thoroughly examining and grading donated goods for sale in Goodwill of North Georgia retail stores. Processes goods at an accelerated pace to meet production goals in a fast-paced environment while following standard operating procedures. The role also supports a guest-friendly retail experience through customer service, merchandising, sales, and point-of-sale transactions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Good oral and written communication skills in English and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong organizational skills and sound judgment.
• Basic math skills.
• Must be 18 or older to become certified and licensed to operate a forklift. Individuals ages 16 to 17 may not operate forklifts, balers, or compactors.
• Must start employment wearing acceptable safety work shoes.
• Ability to work in heat, cold, and dust.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including bending, reaching, grasping, standing or walking for extended periods, and pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 30 pounds, with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests, deliver a positive brand experience, and suggest additional merchandise.
• Maintain a professional, patient, and people-first attitude with guests.
• Transition products to the retail sales floor efficiently and with attention to detail.
• Execute and maintain visual merchandising strategies.
• Recommend or upsell merchandise and encourage guests to round up during transactions.
• Accurately handle point-of-sale transactions.
• Identify and resolve problems quickly or seek management support.
• Communicate effectively with management, peers, and guests.
• Promote and demonstrate cooperation and teamwork.
• Perform work according to training playbooks, e-learning, and work instructions.
• Keep the work area and retail sales floor neat, clean, and organized.
• Follow safety and security practices, including reporting hazards and injuries to management.
• Attend and complete required training and meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
