About The Position

Tailor Made Pest & Wildlife is seeking a Sales & Service Specialist who can identify customer needs, present effective solutions, close sales, and deliver exceptional service. This role is designed for individuals with proven sales experience who enjoy solving problems, building relationships, and are motivated by results. The specialist will run inspections, sell jobs, and complete the necessary work, acting as a trusted advisor to homeowners and businesses. While pest control experience is preferred, it is not required, as the company provides industry-leading training and licensing assistance to qualified candidates. This position requires daily field work, problem-solving for customers, building trust, learning valuable trade skills, and advancing one's career.

Requirements

• Proven sales experience with a track record of meeting or exceeding goals
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Ability to educate customers and confidently close sales

• Dependable (shows up on time, every day)
• Self-starter who doesn't require constant supervision
• Comfortable working outdoors and with your hands
• Physically capable of working on ladders, roofs, crawlspaces, and attics

• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record

Nice To Haves

• Pest control or wildlife control experience
• Construction, roofing, HVAC, home services, or skilled-trade experience
• Experience working directly with homeowners or commercial property managers

Responsibilities

• Run scheduled assessments and inspections
• Identify pest/wildlife issues, entry points, and risk factors
• Document findings with photos and notes
• Educate customers on problems, causes, and long-term solutions
• Build rapport and establish trust with customers
• Educate customers using a structured approach (Problem → Risk → Solution → Protection)
• Present and close jobs on-site
• Offer solutions including exclusion work, wildlife trapping and removal, cleanup and sanitation, and recurring pest control plans
• Follow up on leads and unsold estimates
• Meet or exceed sales and revenue goals
• Perform all sold work to company standards
• Seal homes using metal, hardware cloth, foam, and caulk
• Trap and remove wildlife safely and humanely
• Treat for pests (ants, spiders, roaches, etc.)
• Work on ladders, roofs, crawlspaces, and attics
• Deliver a 5-star experience every time
• Communicate clearly, professionally, and confidently
• Build lasting customer relationships through trust and follow-through
• Educate customers on prevention and long-term protection
• Collect credit card, cash, or check payments and properly log them in the system
