The Sales & Service Manager is responsible for booking small meetings and groups into the hotel. This role involves receiving and responding to customer inquiries, negotiating and capturing profitable Rooms & Catering business, and providing marketing collateral to clients. The manager will prepare and send proposals and contracts, coordinate room lists and event details, and educate clients on hotel procedures. They will also conduct site inspections, entertain qualified potential clients, document sales activities, and maintain relationships with top accounts. The role may involve hosting functions, participating in sales blitzes, and working extended hours. Specifically, the manager will sell and service small group business and catering-only events (12 people or less), solicit and contract wedding business, attend networking events, and partner with Banquet & Culinary teams to ensure exceptional customer experiences. They will utilize sales resources, contribute to team culture, communicate event details, monitor client satisfaction, and capture short-turnaround business. The position requires preparing and executing sales contracts, event orders, and group resumes, and exercising excellent communication, presentation, organization, time management, and listening skills.
