The Sales & Service Manager is responsible for booking small meetings and groups into the hotel. This role involves receiving and responding to customer inquiries, negotiating and capturing profitable Rooms & Catering business, and providing marketing collateral to clients. The manager will prepare and send proposals and contracts, coordinate details for room lists and event orders, and educate Event Planners on hotel procedures. They will also conduct site inspections, entertain potential clients, and document sales activities. The role requires maintaining a list of top accounts for continuous relationship building and performing other requested services. Additionally, the manager will sell and service small group business and catering-only events (12 people or less), solicit and contract wedding business, attend networking events, and partner with Banquet & Culinary teams to ensure exceptional customer experiences. They will also monitor client satisfaction scores, capture short-turnaround business, and solicit, negotiate, and confirm new and repeat business. The Sales & Service Manager will prepare and execute sales contracts, event orders, and group resumes, and coordinate all details for Banquet Event Orders, including setup, food & beverage, agendas, and audio/visual needs. Excellent communication, presentation, organization, time management, and listening skills are essential. All other duties as assigned, requested, or deemed necessary by management.
