About The Position

A1 Garage Door is hiring a Sales & Service Consultant to combine consultative sales with hands-on garage door service. The consultant meets homeowners on scheduled service calls, builds trust, explains repair and upgrade options, closes sales, and performs the work sold. Garage door experience is not required; the company provides training in the mechanical skills needed for the role.

The role includes an eight-week paid training program: four weeks in the market and four weeks at the Phoenix, Arizona Training Academy, with flights and lodging covered. A $1,000 bonus is provided upon graduation and launch in the employee’s market. The position operates seven days a week and is not a Monday-through-Friday, 9-to-5 desk job.

Requirements

• At least one year of consultative sales experience.
• Be at least 21 years old.
• Have a valid driver’s license and at least three years of driving record.
• Be able to lift 75 pounds, bend, climb, kneel, and work in varying temperatures.
• Pass a criminal background check and drug test; THC is excluded from the drug test.
• Be comfortable with navigation apps, Google tools, tablets, and software.
• Have reading and basic math skills for measurements and payments.
• Be comfortable interacting directly with customers and performing physical, hands-on work.

Responsibilities

• Meet homeowners on scheduled service calls.
• Build trust, explain service options clearly, and close repair or upgrade sales.
• Replace springs, rollers, motors, and other garage door components.
• Install keypads, run wiring, and adjust equipment for proper function.
• Lubricate and test equipment to ensure smooth operation.
• Use basic hand and power tools to complete sold work.
• Deliver an outstanding customer experience that encourages repeat and referral business.
• Collect payments and document each job.
