About The Position

E.H. Price Solutions, a division of Price Industries Limited, is seeking a Mechanical Outside Salesperson to promote the mechanical manufacturers they represent and provide accurate, timely support to HVAC industry stakeholders. This role requires a thorough understanding of mechanical systems for optimal product selection and design. Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years' experience selling HVAC related mechanical equipment (5+ years preferred).
  • Thorough knowledge of mechanical products is a must.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook & Internet Explorer.
  • Understanding of how to read & interpret construction drawings.
  • Positive attitude, exemplary attendance, ethical business practices, and a reliable team member.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or business is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders (Contractors, Consulting Engineers, Developers, Owners) to grow sales and expand market share.
  • Promote the sale of mechanical equipment including Air Handling Units, Make Up Air Units, Roof Top Package Units, Dedicated Outdoor Air Units, Heat Pumps, Boilers, Water Heaters, Chillers, and VRF.
  • Identify and maximize sales opportunities.
  • Carry out product selections for design/build contractors.
  • Interpret schedules, construction drawings, and specifications.
  • Perform take-offs, prepare quotations and tenders, and prepare/issue submittals.
  • Negotiate sales.
  • Self-educate and attend manufacturer training to stay updated on product developments and software tools (some travel involved).
  • Understand and remain current with industry and local codes, regulations, and market trends.
  • Service the contractor community accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Maintain an understanding of competitor product offerings.
  • Build relationships through in-person meetings, lunches, and industry events.
  • Follow up on quotes/opportunities to secure orders, understand markets, and investigate lost projects.
  • Plan and implement new product introductions to the market.
  • Visit job sites to address on-site challenges.
  • Plan and accompany customers on factory visits.
  • Be a member of ASHRAE and attend monthly meetings.
  • Organize and attend trade shows when requested.
  • Attend all divisional and office meetings.
  • Assist in customer events such as open houses, sporting events, and lunches.
  • Work as part of a team with a Customer First approach.
