About The Position

Crown Equipment Corporation, a global leader in lift truck manufacturing, is seeking a Sales Representative/Business Development Representative for their B2B operations. This entry-level position involves selling select products within a designated territory or to assigned accounts. The role may require collaboration with other sales professionals for territory management and communication, and participation in corporate and local sales campaigns. Key activities include making sales calls to qualify prospects via phone and in-person, generating leads, and engaging in information gathering, tracking, and follow-up of leads and inquiries. The position also involves participating in various training activities, including local, field, and occasional corporate training at the New Bremen, Ohio headquarters, and collaborating with different branch departments.

Requirements

  • Less than 2 years related experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and the ability to safely operate lift trucks for product demos.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, entrepreneurship, professional selling, or related business program is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation, and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Intermediate computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability and willingness to work outside normal business hours to prepare for sales activities.

Responsibilities

  • Sell select products in a geographical territory and/or assigned accounts.
