About The Position

Crown Equipment Corporation, a global leader in lift truck manufacturing, is seeking an Entry Level Sales Representative / Business Development Representative for B2B sales. This role involves selling select products within a designated geographical territory and/or assigned accounts. The position may involve working in a team to manage territories and communicate with clients. Responsibilities include participating in corporate and local campaigns, making sales calls to qualify prospects via in-person and telephone interactions, generating leads, and engaging in information gathering, tracking, and follow-up of leads and inquiries. The role also requires participation in various training activities, including local, field, and occasional corporate headquarters training in New Bremen, Ohio, and collaboration with different branch departments.

Requirements

  • Less than 2 years related experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and the ability to safely operate lift trucks for product demos.
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in business management, marketing, entrepreneurship, professional selling, or related business program is a plus.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Strong problem-solving capabilities, strong sense of responsibility and self-motivation, and ability to work in a team environment.
  • Intermediate computer skills including a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability and willingness to work outside normal business hours to prepare for sales activities

Responsibilities

  • Sell select products in a geographical territory and/or assigned accounts.
  • May work in a team approach and assist other sales positions with territory management and communication.

  • Make sales calls to qualify prospects in person and over the telephone.
  • Generate leads.
  • Involvement in information gathering efforts and/or tracking and follow-up of leads and inquiries.
  • Participate in training activities locally, in the field, and occasionally at the New Bremen, Ohio corporate headquarters.
  • Collaborate with various departments within the branch.
