This position helps and assists the Sales staff to achieve NWB and supplier goals. It involves covering vacations for sales routes and providing continuing and conscientious service for each account. The role also helps to ensure a safe and clean work environment by following the company’s safety policies and procedures. It is occasionally a physically demanding position. Key responsibilities include maximizing sales results through effective pre-planning and execution of daily, weekly, and monthly objectives, developing a sound knowledge of products, and understanding competitive products. The role requires making persuasive presentations, answering questions, overcoming objections, presenting proposals, displaying or demonstrating products, quoting prices, and soliciting orders. It also involves making sales and follow-up calls, writing orders, designing displays, and organizing on-site promotions. Merchandising duties include understanding and applying in-store merchandising principles, influencing retail accounts to use shelf management, cold box, and floor display guidelines, and utilizing point-of-sale materials. Servicing responsibilities include knowing products for each account, ensuring proper rotation, dusting, rebating, cleaning, and stocking at appropriate levels. The Sales Representative must adhere to the company’s professional dress and appearance policy and perform job duties safely.
