This position helps and assists the Sales staff to achieve NWB and supplier goals, primarily by covering sales routes during vacations. It involves providing continuing and conscientious service for each account, and helping to ensure a safe and clean work environment by following company safety policies and procedures. The role requires maximizing sales results through effective pre-planning, executing daily, weekly, and monthly objectives, and developing a sound knowledge of products. Key activities include making persuasive presentations, displaying products, quoting prices, soliciting orders, and following up with customers. Merchandising responsibilities involve understanding and applying in-store principles, influencing retail accounts to use shelf management and display guidelines, and utilizing point-of-sale materials. The Sales Representative is also responsible for knowing products, ensuring proper rotation, dusting, rebating, cleaning, and stocking products at appropriate levels, and maintaining a professional appearance. This is occasionally a physically demanding position.
