About The Position

Truck Writers is seeking motivated, competitive salespeople to join their team and continue their record-breaking success. This role involves driving growth by acquiring new clients and retaining existing business through prospecting, relationship management, and negotiation to provide tailored insurance solutions to motor carriers. Candidates should be available to start in Fall 2026.

Requirements

High School Diploma/GED required.
Active Property & Casualty Insurance license preferred, or the ability to obtain within 30 days if not already licensed (paid for by company).
Motivated, sociable, and competitive individuals eager to build a successful, long-term sales career.
Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a sales environment that involves a full sales cycle, preferably in insurance or the trucking industry.
Ability to remain professional and courteous with clients at all times.
Excellent verbal and written communication and negotiation skills.
Skilled in working collaboratively with a team in a professional manner on a daily basis.
Strong ability to prioritize.
Self-starter and able to work efficiently under pressure.

Responsibilities

Generate new business by identifying and targeting ideal prospects through phone, email, and in-person meetings.
Collaborate with insurance carriers to match coverage with client needs.
Create and present detailed insurance quotes to prospects.
Achieve sales targets and contribute to overall business goals.
Track client and prospect interactions in our agency management system.
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, prospects, and partners.
