About The Position

The Sales Outfitter performs selling and customer service activities, including greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise with care, and providing information, assistance, and direction. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by helping customers make purchasing decisions, demonstrating products, and making recommendations based on customer needs. This is a seasonal position; the posting also describes part-time benefits.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent experience.
• Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change for customers.
• Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner with customers and associates.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with management, coworkers, and customers.
• Ability to operate a computerized point-of-sale register system.
• Ability to stand and/or walk constantly during a shift and meet the listed physical demands, including moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly and occasionally lifting up to 100 pounds or more with a team lift as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and help ensure a pleasant shopping experience.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Assist customers with buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and making product recommendations.
• Promote programs including CLUB Membership, VOC, and In-Store Pick-up.
• Replenish and restock merchandise according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain knowledge of products, advertised sales, pricing, and signage through ongoing training and upkeep.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
