About The Position

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms maintains counter sales and customer service for firearms, as well as floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. The role supports a welcoming, productive shopping experience by greeting customers, handling merchandise carefully, and providing information, assistance, and direction. It performs sales and merchandising duties at the gun counter and throughout the retail store, while following company policies and procedures. Work is performed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations about work practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of retail experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition products.
• Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
• Customer service and sales knowledge related to firearms and ammunition.
• Knowledge of GCA.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, prompt customer service and help provide a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
• Assist customers with buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and recommending products.
• Promote programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Ensure Form 4473 documents are completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain merchandise for sales at the gun counter and elsewhere in the store.
• Replenish products on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
