About The Position

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms maintains counter sales and customer service for firearms, along with floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. The role supports a welcoming and productive shopping experience by greeting customers promptly and courteously, handling merchandise carefully, and providing information, assistance, and direction. The position also maintains firearms merchandise and sales-area presentation, develops product knowledge, and follows company policies and procedures. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of retail experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition products.
• Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
• Customer service and sales experience or ability related to firearms and ammunition.
• Knowledge of GCA.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Support world-class customer service and provide a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
• Assist customers with purchasing decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and making product recommendations.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Ensure Form 4473 paperwork is completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Develop the ability to demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain merchandise in the retail store and at the gun counter.
• Replenish merchandise on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor-merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
