About The Position

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms maintains counter sales and customer service for firearms, along with floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. The role includes greeting customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise carefully, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The position supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by helping customers evaluate their needs and make informed buying decisions. It also includes accurately completing Form 4473, demonstrating products, maintaining and replenishing merchandise, and staying informed about products, advertised sales, pricing, and signing. The role performs other duties as assigned and works under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment and recommendations about work practices.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
0–2 years of retail experience.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Knowledge of firearms and ammunition products.
Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
Knowledge of firearms and ammunition customer service and sales, including GCA.
Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, prompt customer service and support a pleasant shopping experience.
Help customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and recommending products.
Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
Complete Form 4473 thoroughly and accurately.
Demonstrate products to customers.
Organize and maintain merchandise at the gun counter and in the retail store.
Replenish products on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
Maintain product expertise through ongoing training.
Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
Follow company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Make recommendations concerning work procedures, policies, and practices when appropriate.
