About The Position

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms maintains firearms counter sales and customer service, along with floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by greeting customers promptly and courteously, handling merchandise with care, and providing information, assistance, and direction. The position performs assigned tasks under general supervision using established procedures and occasional independent judgment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of retail experience.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition products.
• Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
• Knowledge of customer service and sales of firearms and ammunition, including GCA.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Deliver friendly, world-class customer service and a productive shopping experience.
• Assist customers with buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and recommending products.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Ensure Form 4473 paperwork is completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain merchandise in the retail store, including merchandise at the gun counter.
• Replenish shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Make recommendations regarding work procedures, policies, and practices.
