About The Position

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms maintains firearms counter sales and customer service, along with floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by greeting customers promptly and courteously, handling merchandise with care, and providing information, assistance, and direction. The position also supports sales by assessing customer needs, recommending products, and promoting customer programs. The job is part-time, with a starting pay rate of $18.00–$20.75. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of retail experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition products.
• Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
• Customer service and firearms and ammunition sales knowledge.
• Knowledge of GCA.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, prompt customer service and help ensure a productive shopping experience.
• Assist customers in making buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and recommending products.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Ensure ATF Form 4473 forms are completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain merchandise in the retail store, including at the gun counter.
• Replenish products on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
