About The Position

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms maintains firearm counter sales and customer service, along with floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. The role supports a pleasant, productive shopping experience by greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and courteously, handling merchandise carefully, and providing information, assistance, and direction. The position helps customers make purchasing decisions by identifying their needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup. It also involves accurately completing 4473 Forms, demonstrating products, maintaining merchandise and stock at the gun counter, keeping current with product knowledge and advertised sales, maintaining pricing and signage, assisting with seasonal merchandise moves, and keeping the work area clean and supplied. The role follows company policies and procedures and performs other duties as assigned. The position operates under general supervision and established procedures, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices. Starting pay is $17.00–$19.75 per hour. The posting states that applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
0–2 years of retail experience.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Product knowledge of firearms and ammunition.
Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
Customer service and sales experience or ability related to firearms and ammunition.
Knowledge of GCA.
Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

Support a commitment to customer service and provide a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
Help customers make buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and recommending products.
Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
Complete 4473 Forms thoroughly and accurately.
Demonstrate products to customers.
Organize and maintain merchandise at the gun counter and throughout the retail store.
Replenish products on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
Maintain product expertise through ongoing training.
Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
Keep the work area clean, neat, and well stocked with supplies.
Follow company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
