About The Position

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms maintains firearms counter sales and customer service, along with floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. The role supports a pleasant and productive shopping experience by greeting customers, handling merchandise carefully, and providing information, assistance, and direction. The outfitter helps customers make purchasing decisions, maintains merchandise and pricing, and stays current on products and advertised sales. Duties are performed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment and recommendations about work practices.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
0–2 years of retail experience.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Knowledge of firearms and ammunition.
Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
Knowledge of firearms and ammunition customer service and sales, including GCA.
Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

Provide friendly, prompt customer service and support a productive shopping experience.
Identify customer needs, recommend products, and promote programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
Ensure Form 4473 documents are completed thoroughly and accurately.
Demonstrate products to customers.
Organize and maintain merchandise at the gun counter and throughout the retail store.
Replenish products according to merchandising guidelines.
Maintain product expertise through ongoing training.
Stay knowledgeable about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
Keep the work area clean, neat, and supplied.
Follow company policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
