About The Position

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms maintains counter sales and customer service for firearms, as well as floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. The role includes greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and in a friendly manner, handling merchandise carefully, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction. The position performs duties under general supervision using established procedures and innovation, with occasional independent judgment to complete assignments and make recommendations about work procedures, policies, and practices.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of retail experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition products.
• Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
• Customer service and sales knowledge related to firearms and ammunition.
• Knowledge of GCA.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Support a commitment to world-class customer service and provide a pleasant, productive shopping experience.
• Assist customers with buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs and recommending suitable products.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Ensure Form 4473 paperwork is completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain merchandise in the retail store, including at the gun counter.
• Replenish products on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
