About The Position

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms maintains counter sales and customer service for firearms, as well as floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. The role supports a pleasant, productive shopping experience by greeting customers, handling merchandise carefully, and providing information and assistance. The outfitter helps customers make purchasing decisions, demonstrates products, and promotes programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup. The position also includes completing Form 4473 accurately, maintaining and replenishing merchandise, keeping current on product knowledge and advertised sales, supporting seasonal floor moves, and maintaining a clean, stocked work area. Duties are performed under general supervision using established procedures, with occasional independent judgment.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of retail experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition products.
• Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
• Customer service and sales knowledge for firearms and ammunition.
• Knowledge of GCA.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, prompt customer service and support a productive shopping experience.
• Assist customers with buying decisions by identifying needs and recommending products.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Ensure Form 4473 is completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain firearms-counter merchandise for sale.
• Replenish products according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product knowledge through ongoing training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and supplied.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
