About The Position

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms maintains counter sales and customer service for firearms, along with floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. The role includes greeting and assisting customers, handling merchandise carefully, and providing product information and direction. The outfitter supports a pleasant, productive shopping experience and helps customers make informed buying decisions through needs assessment and product recommendations. The position also involves completing ATF Form 4473 paperwork accurately, demonstrating products, maintaining merchandise and displays, and following company policies and procedures.

This is a part-time role. Applicants must be at least 21 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent. The listed starting pay rate is $18.00–$20.75. Applications are accepted on an ongoing basis.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of retail experience.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition products.
• Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition customer service and sales, including GCA.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Provide prompt, friendly customer service and support a pleasant shopping experience.
• Identify customer needs, recommend products, and promote programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Ensure Form 4473 paperwork is completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain merchandise at the gun counter and throughout the retail store.
• Replenish shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing product knowledge training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
