About The Position

The Sales Outfitter - Firearms maintains counter sales and customer service for firearms, along with floor and counter sales of other hunting merchandise. The role includes greeting and acknowledging customers promptly and courteously, handling merchandise with care, and providing customers with information, assistance, and direction.

This position supports a strong commitment to world-class customer service and a pleasant, productive shopping experience. The Outfitter assists customers with buying decisions by identifying and evaluating their needs, recommending products, and promoting programs such as CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup. The role also requires accurate completion of Form 4473, maintaining firearm and hunting merchandise, replenishing shelves, staying current on product knowledge and advertised sales, and following company policies and procedures.

The position is part-time. Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 0–2 years of retail experience.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Knowledge of firearms and ammunition products.
• Knowledge of ATF federal and state regulations.
• Customer service and sales knowledge for firearms and ammunition.
• Knowledge of GCA.
• Ability to merchandise and stock merchandise.

Responsibilities

• Provide friendly, prompt customer service and contribute to a pleasant and productive shopping experience.
• Help customers make buying decisions by assessing their needs and recommending products.
• Promote programs including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup.
• Ensure Form 4473 is completed thoroughly and accurately.
• Demonstrate products to customers.
• Organize and maintain merchandise for firearm-counter sales.
• Replenish products on shelves according to merchandising guidelines.
• Maintain product expertise through ongoing training.
• Stay informed about advertised sales and maintain pricing and signage.
• Assist with seasonal floor merchandise moves.
• Keep the work area clean, neat, and stocked with supplies.
• Follow company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
