About The Position

The Sales Operations Specialist supports the day-to-day execution of sales and operational processes while helping improve the systems, reporting, and workflows that support the business. This role serves as a key resource across Sales, Finance, Supply Chain, and external partners, ensuring data accuracy, efficient processes, and timely resolution of operational issues. This is a hybrid role. The ideal Sales Operations Specialist is analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with a mix of established and evolving business processes. This person should enjoy solving problems, working with data, and finding practical ways to improve how work gets done.

Requirements

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, lookups, filtering, and data analysis.

Responsibilities

  • Support daily sales operations activities, including order management, pricing administration, and operational requests.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for distributor partners and internal stakeholders on operational matters.
  • Monitor and resolve order issues, aging orders, and process exceptions to support customer service and business objectives.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely resolution of operational issues.
  • Maintain customer, product, pricing, vendor, and item master data within ERP and related systems.
  • Ensure data accuracy through ongoing maintenance, validation, and auditing.
  • Support ERP transaction processing and day-to-day system administration activities.
  • Participate in system enhancements, testing, implementations, and process changes.
  • Help identify opportunities to improve system functionality and business processes.
  • Develop and maintain recurring sales, inventory, operational, and ad hoc reports.
  • Analyze data and identify trends, issues, and opportunities to support business decisions.
  • Validate information across multiple systems and investigate discrepancies.
  • Create and maintain reporting tools, dashboards, and key performance metrics.
  • Utilize advanced Excel skills to organize, analyze, and present data.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, reporting, and workflows.
  • Support projects focused on efficiency improvements, automation, and process standardization.
  • Document and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) and process documentation.
  • Assist with cross-functional initiatives aimed at improving operational performance.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively across departments to resolve issues and support business objectives.
  • Provide responsive support while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
