About The Position

This individual is primarily responsible for sales commission administration and managing communication and inquiries from sales representatives. This includes managing the commission database, answering questions, researching issues, and creating and analyzing reports. Success is achieved through strong analytical and research skills, the desire to support and interact with a passionate sales team, and a commitment to ensuring timely and accurate commission payments.

Requirements

  • 3-4 years of applicable work experience required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree Required.
  • Reporting and analytical (qualitative and quantitative) experience required
  • Commission or compensation administration experience required
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail required
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills required
  • Ability to use discretion when working with sensitive and confidential information required

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in a sales organization preferred
  • Experience with financial institutions and insurance products preferred

Responsibilities

  • Research and respond to commission inquiries from the Field (120+ sales and service reps), coordinate problem resolution, and evaluate exception requests.
  • Enter new commission requests, review submitted requests, and confirm accuracy of the data.
  • Manage commission adjustments, unassigned commissions, monthly assignment updates, retroactive payments, and revisions.
  • Perform routine auditing to ensure commission payments are aligned with established policies and contractual agreements.
  • Provide training and communication on commissions and commission systems.
  • Maintain and update commission matrix and sales representative’s commission schedules.
  • Ensure commission workflows meet established service levels.
  • Manage implementation of new commission guarantees, removal of guarantees, commission advances, and residual commission schedules.
  • Calculate quarterly, bi-annual, and annual bonus payments.
  • Review and update documentation related to commission processes, policies, and procedures.
  • Coordinate with the accounting department for reconciliation between systems, updates to procedures, and enhancements to processes.
  • Identify, recommend, and test system changes and enhancements.
  • Create monthly recognition reporting for the incentive program.
  • Assist in the compilation and submission of departmental budgets.
  • Collect, validate, interpret, design, and organize various types of data into meaningful reports and summaries.
  • Support management with case or situation specific needs.
  • Invest in personal development on commission and compensation best practices.
