About The Position

Tricon Energy is seeking a personable, customer-focused Sales Operations and Transportation Specialist who builds strong relationships and delivers exceptional customer service. The role manages customer orders, coordinates transportation, negotiates freight rates, and proactively resolves challenges in a fast-paced environment. The specialist works with customers, carriers, and internal teams to support excellent service and long-term partnerships.

Requirements

• At least 4 years of experience in customer service, sales operations, logistics, or transportation coordination.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills and confidence interacting with customers, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Proven ability to manage customer relationships, resolve concerns, and maintain a high level of customer satisfaction.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• A proactive, solutions-oriented mindset and a strong sense of urgency.

Nice To Haves

• A bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, business, STEM, or a related field is preferred; candidates with other educational backgrounds and strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills are also encouraged to apply.
• Experience working with trucking companies or negotiating freight rates.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, carriers, and internal teams to ensure excellent service and long-term partnerships.
• Serve as a key point of contact for customers, provide timely updates, address concerns, and ensure a positive customer experience.
• Negotiate competitive freight rates, maintain strong carrier relationships, and coordinate transportation arrangements.
• Resolve shipment delays, customer concerns, and other operational issues.
• Maintain accurate sales orders, shipping documentation, and records.
• Proactively follow up on pending orders and keep customers informed.
