About The Position

Ellsworth Adhesives provides the materials used in cell phones, spaceships, and electric vehicles. Ellsworth Corporation, a global, industry-leading distributor of specialty chemicals and equipment and adhesive manufacturer, has an opportunity for a Transportation Operations Specialist. This role reports into our Specialty Chemical Distribution (SCD) Division located in Germantown, WI and is an on-site/hybrid role. Ellsworth Corporation is a family-run company that has had continuous growth for over 50 years. We are an industry-leading global distributor, manufacturer, and packager of adhesives used by cell phone, medical device, space/aerospace, and electric vehicle industries. This role provides transportation and distribution operations related support for Ellsworth Specialty Chemical Distribution.

Requirements

3+ years of related industrial experience and/or training
Post high school education in a related field of study, such as Supply Chain
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Warehouse software
Strong customer service skills
Thorough and attentive to details
Solid verbal and written communication skills
Proven track record of self-direction
Demonstrates sense of urgency
Ability to achieve operational savings
Ability to assess processes and make recommendations for continuous improvement
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with third-party vendors to obtain quotes for domestic and international transportation
Freight forwarder communication.
Book transportation using Third-Party Transportation Management System.
Exception shipment management.
Supporting transportation functions for the organization
Assists with transportation coordination requests.
Files and pursues damage claims with carriers and insurance companies
Coordinates LTL shipments.
