About The Position

As a Sales Network Compensation Analyst, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth financial analyses related to commissions, compensation, and bonuses for distribution networks. You will also contribute to the overall management of bad debts for all individual insurance and financial services networks. As a key partner, you will act as a resource person for several stakeholders, including finance, actuarial, marketing, and sales network teams. You will realize yourself in the following functions: Conduct financial analyses such as commission analysis, financial compensation calculation, and bonus calculation. Develop control, calculation, and sales force compensation and bonus tracking tools. Act as a super-user of the COGNOS tool for the department and intermediaries. Coordinate the recovery activities for each network and produce a monthly report of negative balances. Establish accounting provisions and monitor the required accounting entries. Collaborate and assist external and internal auditors in their annual audit mandate. Assist the various sales networks in modifying compensation. Be able to substitute, if necessary, in the portfolio purchase/sale process of our various distribution networks. Act as a resource person and collaborate with the IT liaison team on various analyses, issues, and/or statistics. Contribute, in collaboration with the relevant teams, to strategic projects related to compensation and the optimization of practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the field.
  • Excellent knowledge of Excel software.
  • Ability to use advanced Excel functions.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written French and English.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of compensation for intermediaries in individual insurance and savings (an asset).
