About The Position

St. Eugene Golf Resort & Casino is seeking a dynamic and experienced Sales Manager to join our team. Reporting to the Sales & Marketing Manager, this role is responsible for driving guestroom, banquet space and catering revenue through the solicitation, negotiation and conversion of group and corporate business. This position can be remote or onsite for the ideal candidate, with an expectation of some travel to support client meetings, events, trade shows and industry engagements. Compensation will be based on experience and qualifications and may be negotiable for the ideal candidate. The ideal candidate is proactive, relationship-focused, and skilled at identifying and closing new business opportunities.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in hotel, resort, or hospitality sales with a strong focus on group, corporate, and banquet/event sales
  • Proven track record of achieving or exceeding revenue targets across guestrooms, meetings, and food & beverage operations in a full-service or luxury resort environment
  • Demonstrated expertise in selling complex offerings, including multi-day conferences and large-scale events with integrated banquet and catering components
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • Experience with CRM and PMS systems, and sales tracking and reporting tools
  • Solid understanding of revenue management principles
  • High level of professionalism and presentation skills, with the ability to confidently represent a premier resort destination to high-value clients and stakeholders
  • Strong relationship management skills with a focus on long-term account development, client retention, and repeat business generation
  • Ability to travel for prospecting, networking, client meetings, events, and tradeshows
  • Demonstrates professionalism and a strong commitment to guest satisfaction
  • Strong collaborator with the ability to work effectively as part of a team and with department managers
  • Proactive, self-motivated and able to work independently while taking initiative to anticipate needs and resolve issues
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple events simultaneously

Responsibilities

  • Proactively solicit and secure group, corporate, and event business to achieve revenue targets across guestrooms, meeting and banquet space, and catering offerings
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with corporate clients, event planners and travel partners to generate repeat and referral business
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and lead qualification through proposal development, contract negotiation and closing
  • Conduct property tours, effectively showcasing guestrooms, meeting and banquet spaces, food & beverage offerings and other resort offerings including golf, casino and cultural activities
  • Respond promptly to leads, Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and inquiries, delivering compelling and competitive offers
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and demand patterns to identify opportunities and sales strategies
  • Prospect and generate new business through calls, networking, database outreach, and community engagement
  • Maintain accurate client records, account production data, and sales activities within the CRM system (TripleSeat)
  • Utilize Property Management System (Maestro) for room blocks, guestroom bookings and reporting
  • Participate in weekly team meetings, sales meetings, sales presentations and client meetings
  • Represent the resort at tradeshows, industry events, and networking functions to promote all aspects of the property
  • Work closely with the Catering & Events Manager and Sales & Catering Coordinator to ensure seamless turnover of contracted business and successful execution of events with the Food & Beverage & Banquets team
  • Liaise, collaborate and communicate with department managers to ensure exceptional service delivery for group and corporate business
  • Support on-site client engagement during key events, ensuring service delivery meets brand standards and client expectations
