The Sales Manager is responsible for attainment of assigned goals tied to the overall performance of the hotel. This role involves coordinating group transient and catering sales solicitations and bookings to maximize overall revenue. Key responsibilities include developing, recommending, implementing, and managing the department's annual budget, as well as coordinating and directing the preparation of monthly Rooms revenue forecasts. The Sales Manager will proactively conduct outside sales calls, sales tours, and entertain clients, while also understanding and negotiating contract terms. Maintaining market awareness to predict revenue opportunities and setting proactive strategies is crucial. The role requires monitoring production of top accounts, evaluating market trends, and adhering to Bentley Legacy Group’s established company and sales standards, including utilization of CRM for business management. The manager must comply with individual and team goals, maintain strong visibility in the local community and industry organizations, and attend/conduct various meetings and training sessions. Professional working relationships with marketing partners and internal departments are essential. Travel is required, and the Sales Manager may act on behalf of the General Manager in their absence.
