About The Position

The Sales Manager supports the Store Manager with the day-to-day operations of a retail store. The role includes helping oversee sales performance, addressing customer issues when the Store Manager is absent, developing the sales team, and supporting staffing, administrative, reporting, and product-placement activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma required.
• At least 2 years of experience working in the retail industry.
• Ability to motivate employees to achieve sales KPIs.
• Ability to handle guest concerns in a timely manner.
• Ability to interview and staff a retail location.

Responsibilities

• Support Store Managers in overseeing sales KPIs, including volume, margin, closing ratio, sales per guest, bedding, and protection.
• Handle customer-related issues in the Store Manager’s absence.
• Provide leadership and timely, effective communication to the sales, guest experience, and visual teams.
• Coach sales staff to build individual and team success in a professional manner.
• Assist the Store Manager in maintaining budgeted administrative costs, including wages and supplies.
• Ensure complete and adequate documentation of procedures and completed tasks.
• Complete various reporting functions in a timely manner.
• Help maintain proper staffing levels for the sales team job code in accordance with company budget levels.
• Prepare and administer impact coaching sessions to develop the sales team.
• Coordinate and conduct daily and weekly peak-state huddles.
• Work with the Visual Presentation Manager regarding product placement.
• Report policy changes and other information to staff members.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
