About The Position

At Sol Cypress, a Marriott Tribute Portfolio hotel located on the San Antonio River Walk, we are seeking a Sales Manager who embodies our spirit of personal, inspired, and place-rooted hospitality. This role is perfect for a sales professional focused on building relationships, fostering community connections, and achieving results through authentic partnerships. The Sales Manager will be responsible for Government, Corporate, and University accounts, contributing significantly to our revenue strategy and representing the unique character of Sol Cypress.

Requirements

  • 2–3+ years of hotel sales experience, preferably with a lifestyle or boutique-leaning brand
  • Experience selling Government, Corporate, and University markets
  • Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine, confident sales style
  • Organized, self-motivated, and comfortable working independently
  • Flexibility to attend client events, evening networking, and local functions

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of the San Antonio market strongly preferred
  • Familiarity with Marriott sales systems a plus

Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow Government, Corporate, and University accounts with a thoughtful, boutique approach
  • Prospect and secure new business through creative outreach, networking, and community engagement
  • Conduct personalized site tours that highlight the style, story, and experience of Sol Cypress
  • Build long-term client relationships that translate into consistent revenue production
  • Negotiate rates and contracts aligned with brand and revenue strategy
  • Maintain account plans, activity tracking, and forecasts using Marriott sales tools
  • Collaborate closely with operations and revenue management to ensure seamless guest experiences
  • Represent Sol Cypress at local events, industry functions, and sales missions
