About The Position

The Sales Manager - Group Sales will proactively solicit, build, and strengthen relationships within the market group sales, seeking opportunities through various sales channels and working to build long-term value-based customer relationships. This role involves responding to RFPs, preparing proposals, and upselling each business opportunity to maximize revenue potential. The Sales Manager will collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and expectations for conferences and events, conduct site tours, and provide personalized service and support throughout the planning process. Fostering long-term relationships with clients by delivering exceptional service and anticipating their needs for future events is key.

Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years of Group Sales experience at a full-service hotel, with a preference for a background in a larger hotel setting with over 200 rooms and meeting/event space.
  • Must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with clients, colleagues, and vendors through various platforms, including phone and email.
  • Proficiency in event sales software, Delphi/Salesforce preferred, Microsoft Office Suite, and other relevant computer applications.
  • Travel to industry-related trade shows and/or outside sales calls will be required.
