About The Position

The Doubletree by Hilton Omaha Downtown is building a team of top performers. Our coveted Hilton/Doubletree Brand hotel is under brand new ownership & management. We are looking for talented hospitality professionals to manage our 414 guestrooms, 30,500 square feet of meeting space including an Executive Meeting Center. Job Summary: As a Group Sales Manager, you will fill a vital role in supporting your hotel’s financial goals through selling guestrooms, catering services and banquet facilities through direct client contact to maximize total rooms revenues.

Requirements

  • One or more years of experience in Hotel Group Sales. (Special consideration will be given to those who exhibit a proven track record of exemplary sales performance in similar business fields with strong sales abilities, excellent oral and written communication skills, and guest centric management practices.)
  • Possesses software knowledge (Microsoft Office, etc.).

Nice To Haves

  • Hilton brand experience a plus
  • Delphi FDC sales system knowledge is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Be incredibly friendly, customer centric, love to smile and have FUN in a team environment
  • Solicit, negotiate, and book new and repeat business through sales efforts that include, in person sales calls, telephone/internet prospecting, building client relationships, referral business & networking
  • Ensure that predetermined sales expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Establish client base for specific market segments to include corporations, associations, and social groups in order to secure business for the hotel.
  • Prepare proposals and contracts for client review
  • Negotiate guest room rates, meeting room rental, function space, food & beverage minimums and hotel services within approved booking guidelines.
  • Conduct site inspection tours of the hotel and banquet facilities; entertains qualified potential clients in accordance with company and property policies and procedures.
