About The Position

Firematic is a leading provider of fire protection equipment, systems, and services. We partner with fire departments, municipalities, contractors, distributors, and industrial clients to deliver high-quality safety solutions. We are seeking an experienced and motivated Sales Manager – Fire Equipment to lead our sales team and drive profitable growth across our fire equipment product lines. This position will be responsible for managing sales performance, developing customer relationships, coaching sales professionals, and identifying new business opportunities throughout the assigned territory. In addition to managing the sales team, this position will carry and actively manage a sales territory, developing customer relationships and driving sales growth within that location. The ideal candidate is a strong sales leader with experience in fire equipment, fire protection, safety equipment, or a related industry who understands the unique needs of fire departments, municipalities, contractors, and industrial customers.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of sales experience, with demonstrated leadership or sales management experience.
  • Experience in fire equipment, fire protection, emergency services, safety equipment, industrial equipment, or a related industry strongly preferred.
  • Proven record of achieving sales growth and meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
  • Strong understanding of B2B sales processes, account management, and business development.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, mentor, and develop sales professionals.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to understand pricing, margins, forecasts, and profitability.
  • Highly organized and capable of managing multiple priorities and customer relationships.
  • Ability to work effectively with customers, vendors, manufacturers, and internal departments.
  • Proficiency with CRM systems, Microsoft Office, and sales reporting tools.
  • Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and motivate the fire equipment sales team to achieve and exceed sales and profitability goals.
  • Develop and implement territory sales plans aligned with company objectives and growth initiatives.
  • Establish sales goals, monitor individual and team performance, and hold team members accountable for results.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with fire chiefs, municipalities, contractors, distributors, industrial customers, and other key decision-makers.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities while strengthening existing customer relationships.
  • Support sales representatives with major opportunities, customer presentations, product selection, pricing, and negotiations.
  • Manage and grow key customer accounts and strategic relationships.
  • Personally manage and develop an assigned sales territory while providing leadership and direction to the sales team in that location.
  • Monitor sales activity, pipeline development, forecasting, and revenue performance.
  • Analyze market conditions, customer needs, and competitor activity to identify opportunities for growth.
  • Work closely with operations, service, purchasing, and finance to ensure orders and customer commitments are executed effectively.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers and suppliers to stay current on new products, pricing, programs, and industry developments.
  • Assist with negotiating pricing, contracts, and strategic agreements while protecting company margins.
  • Represent Firematic at trade shows, conferences, demonstrations, customer events, and industry functions.
  • Ensure the sales team maintains accurate customer records, sales forecasts, and pipeline information.
  • Promote a high level of customer service and professionalism throughout the sales organization.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, regulations, and company policies.
  • Travel throughout the assigned territory as needed to support customers and sales team members.
