About The Position

The Sales Manager will lead and develop a team of 15 to 20 sales professionals in the corporate Sales Department, focusing on meeting and exceeding the expectations of existing and new customers. CO-Energy has been a leading provider of fuels, lubricants, and related products and services for 39 years to agriculture, commercial, and government customers throughout Washington, Idaho, and NE Oregon.

Requirements

  • Seven (7) or more years of successful professional sales experience.
  • Four (4) or more years of management experience leading sales professionals.
  • Business to Business sales experience.
  • Demonstrated record of success in meeting sales goals.
  • Demonstrated record of success in client/customer success and satisfaction.
  • Demonstrated record of success in resolving customer complaints.
  • Demonstrated record of success in product knowledge: learning, understanding all aspects of products/services sold.
  • Possess a valid driver license with an excellent driving record in order to meet insurability standards required to operate company-owned vehicles.
  • Successful completion of a drug screen that includes testing for Cannabis use.
  • Successful completion of a criminal background check.
  • Successful completion of insurability verification in order to operate company-owned vehicles.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous sales experience in the fuel, oil and/or lubricants industry.

Responsibilities

  • Manage, train, and professionally develop 15-20 sales professionals.
  • Ensure sales professionals are successful in servicing and supporting existing customer relationships.
  • Guide sales professionals in cultivating and expanding new customer relationships.
  • Oversee efforts to increase sales in respective sales territories.
  • Ensure sales professionals meet personal and company sales and performance goals.
  • Travel regularly to meet with sales team members (25% of the time) in a company-provided vehicle.
  • Maintain professional, positive relationships with current suppliers and vendors.
  • Cultivate and develop new relationships with potential suppliers and vendors.
  • Develop sales plans with the sales team for capturing and securing new customers/business.
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts.
  • Foster a competitive yet collaborative team environment.
  • Plan sales and training meetings.
  • Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
  • Adhere to all federal, state & local laws governing a safe work environment.
  • Report unsafe acts and conditions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned to ensure uninterrupted operations & customer service, to include additional hours and shifts.
