About The Position

Performance Auto Group is seeking an experienced and motivated Automotive Sales Manager / Closer to join their team at Performance Ford in Whippany, NJ. Requirements

  • Previous Automotive Sales Management experience
  • A proven record of closing deals and producing gross profit
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with customers to close vehicle sales
  • Assist Sales Consultants with difficult customers and negotiations
  • Structure deals to maximize dealership profitability while maintaining customer satisfaction
  • Maintain strong front-end and overall gross performance
  • Review and approve vehicle pricing and deal structures
  • Coach, motivate, and develop Sales Consultants
  • Conduct effective sales meetings and daily team huddles
  • Monitor individual and team performance
  • Help Sales Consultants overcome objections and close customers
  • Work closely with the Finance Department to ensure smooth deal transitions
  • Manage customer negotiations professionally and effectively
  • Maintain a high level of CSI and customer satisfaction
  • Monitor showroom traffic, appointments, leads, and closing ratios
  • Help ensure follow-up processes are being properly executed
  • Assist with inventory management and merchandising strategy
  • Ensure dealership policies and procedures are followed
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable laws, manufacturer requirements, and dealership policies
  • Lead by example and maintain a positive, professional sales environment
  • Assist the General Sales Manager and General Manager with dealership objectives
