About The Position

The Polaris Sales Leadership Development Program (SLDP) accelerates career development for recent college graduates who wish to further develop core business, leadership, and sales competencies. Our unique two-year development program allows you the opportunity to work in roles within Sales to build a solid business foundation and gain leadership and field experience. Through your business rotations, you will be given challenging assignments to accelerate your career development for future positions of significant responsibility. The variety of work gives you an introduction to what working at Polaris is all about and helps you decide where you can best apply your interests to meet the company's needs. During this program, you will also establish mentor relationships with our business leadership that will continue throughout your career with Polaris. Polaris provides the resources, support, and environment you need to achieve both personal and professional success in this role. Program Length: 2 Years, Rotation Length: 6 Months (4X). Placement Locations could Include: Plymouth, MN; Medina, MN; and/or Field Sales Rotation (sales district in the US based on business dealer coverage). Areas you’ll gain exposure to in your rotations include: Dealer Enablement: Dealer Trainings & Development, Owner Connections, Fixed Operations, Low Funnel Marketing. Business Development & Channel: Dealer Policies, Dealer Distribution Footprint, Key Market Performance Management, Showroom Display & Merchandising. Product Line Sales: Program Development & Execution, Demand/Supply Analytics, Competitive Analysis, Retail Critical Thinking Leadership. Field Sales: Dealership Experience, Retail Root Cause & Countermeasure, Dealer Operations Improvement, Solicitation Ownership. Upon completion of the Development Program, you will transition into a full-time Sales-related position within the business, contingent on business needs and the skills and experience you demonstrate during the program.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in business with an emphasis in Sales, Marketing, or other related field, with a graduation date between August 2026 and May 2027.
  • Minimum overall GPA of 3.0
  • Must be able to commit to working 40 hours per week starting on January 11th, 2027 or June 14th, 2027.
  • Must be a U.S. person (U.S. citizen, U.S. national, lawful permanent resident, asylee, or refugee) and not require sponsorship for employment now or in the future.
  • Must be willing to travel and relocate between sites for your rotations, as well as be mobile beyond the rotational program to support your career development.
  • Must have reliable transportation for daily commuting to and from the office.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software: Outlook, Excel, Word, Teams, SharePoint.
  • Active leadership experience in student organizations and/or work experiences with interest to continue to grow your leadership skills.
  • Demonstrated strengths in analysis, creative problem-solving, communication, interpersonal relationships, self-motivation, and leadership.
  • Strong interest in long-term career development.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous Internship/Co-op experience
  • Previous dealership experience.
  • Previous internship experience working in a powersports or manufacturing industry.
  • Previous internship experience working with durable goods or equipment.

  • Participate in a 3-day Early Talent Summit Week in Wyoming, MN.
  • Present to senior level leaders at the end of rotations/program to showcase career aspirations and recap experience.
  • Transition into a full-time Sales-related position upon completion of the Development Program, contingent on business needs and demonstrated skills/experience.
